My Story

o
When did my interest in art begin?
My interest in art began at a very early age when I used to wake up early in the morning and draw from my dreams and imagination. I love draw intricate worlds full of detail and possibility. My parents have folders full of these drawings from my early childhood now at home.

Why do I do what I do?
Ever since drawing has been a natural medium for me through which to express, to explore, and to understand. Curiosity drives the actions that I take which leads me to frequently explore unprecedented ways of working. For example, my interest into how an aquatic environment influences the artist’s psychology led me to creating to the world’s first underwater etching, in the Atlantic Ocean (short film including this experience at the bottom of this page).

What have I done?
My focus on the intersection between art and science has resulted in many innovative ways of working. Some of which include oil painting underwater, creating a 360 degree rotatable painting, transforming my line drawings into intricately detailed wooden artworks, and performing live painting with a musician in a gallery setting. I am a multimedia artist who works through any means necessary to realise my visions. I have exhibited charcoal works, etchings, paintings, done live performances, and screened films at several galleries in London and Cambridge.

Who am I?
I was born in 1999. Most of my childhood was spent growing up in Croatia which is my Motherland. Since my mid-teens I have been based in the UK which is where I completed my BA in Architecture (First Degree Honours, University of Manchester, 2021) and my MA in Art and Science (Central Saint Martins, University of Arts London, 2024). During my time spent in Florence at the Accademia D’Arte (2021) I learned how to create traditional realistic oil paintings. Over the years though, through hundreds of hours of work and insight, my ways of working have naturally transformed in alignment with my spiritual growth and understanding.

How have I become who I am?
Movement and stillness have always been key interests of mine throughout my life which have influenced my path as an artist. A consistent meditation practice over many years has developed my ability to draw insight from within and explore realms of reality which are not accessible to normal faculties of perception. I have always been an athlete, swimming, playing football, tennis, and waterpolo competitively, and exploring movement through breakdancing, calisthenics, parkour, and cliff jumping. My interest in exploring the aquatic world has also lead me into the world of scuba diving, having now become a PADI certified Rescue Diver (2023).

The Athlete-Artist
Most recently though, my focus has been converging on the intersection between athlete and artist, exploring the boundaries and possibilities of my own mental, physical, and spiritual abilities. In July 2024 I cycled with my friends from Nice in France to Santander in Spain, covering a distance of over 1,500km within 21 days, carrying all of our necessities on our bikes. In October 2024 I completed my first ever triathlon, the Ironman 70.3 Poreč in 5:55. Both of these experiences have stretched and expanded my perception of what is possible and have inspired me to continue realizing my dreams.

The Mission
I am positioned at the boundary of the known and the unknown, effectively transforming darkness into light, the unseen into the seen, the possible into the realized. I do this to embody a state of expansion and to experience the nature of who I am to a greater degree. My art and my actions are meant to serve the greater whole and to inspire you to remember that state of curiosity and possibility.
